The idea

Turn a real street layout into the starting material for a browser-shooter arena.

The connection

The authored contribution is the conversion pipeline: geographic roads and footprints must become readable, traversable game spaces with useful cover, boundaries and spawn locations. The underlying shooter is openly described as a fork.

System design

The following structure makes the project concept inspectable and defines the implementation to demonstrate.

01A place query selects a bounded geographic dataset.
02A transformation stage simplifies geometry and produces collision/navigation data.
03The existing shooter framework loads the resulting arena and game rules.

What would prove it

Generate three visibly different locations and run the same traversal and spawn checks on each. Verify that players cannot spawn inside geometry or become trapped outside the playable area.

The next complete milestone

The project becomes demonstrable through a reproducible location-to-level pipeline, preserved upstream attribution, map-data licensing and a complete match on each test arena. Geographic accuracy and good level design need separate evaluation.

Project record

A Cloudflare Worker FPS forked from an open-source browser shooter, extended to generate its battlegrounds from real OpenStreetMap data — drop in a place name and fight through its actual street layout.
